That's true, they didn't sleep well on the moon because they didn't go to the moon at all, and no one can because it's made of plasma. FYI I hear that they haven't slept since Capricorn One

I love these videos but I can’t read the comments, the fact that we live in such a technologically advanced world and people don’t believe we’re capable of going to the Moon is dumbfounding, still this was well explained and actually more common sense than you’d think, thanks Amy :)

Something else to point out is that once a rocket reaches outer space, it no longer needs fuel to keep going. Within the vacuum of space (without friction), the object will continue to travel in the same direction and at the same speed. At this point, more fuel can be burned to increase the speed or to change it's direction. I'm assuming that there is no diminishing returns when it comes to reaching higher speeds (i.e., you can continue to gain speed at the same rate regardless of current speed), but then it becomes a matter of needing fuel to also slow down once approaching the destination.

A fabulous explanation! I grew up in the 1960’s so I remember part of the Mercury program, all of Gemini and all of Apollo. I knew about the guillotine that was used to separate the ascent stage from the descent stage on the LEM, yeah, to me it’s still The Lunar Excursion Module Ha! Ha! But I didn’t know that one was used to cut the umbilicals between the CM & SM. Fascinating! I always wondered where the interconnects were between the CM & SM. Thanks to your explanation, I now know what that angled part that was on the side of the CM / SM stack was for. I can’t believe that I never knew that. Thanks for the information! Love your video’s. It’s great to hear from someone so young who knows so much about our early space program. Looking forward to your next video! Be Well!

Was the decision to leave the rendezvous radar on made in consultation with Houston? I thought I read somewhere that it was a decision made by the crew (Buzz specifically) and wasn't actually part of the planned procedures. From what you said, Houston was aware of it, but didn't believe that it was generating interrupts on the AGC. Was the rendezvous radar turned off for future missions?

The ascend video has already been proven to be fake, when you slow down the video, clearly you can see the oscillation like a pendulum, like it is being lifted by cable. If you see a load being lifted by a tall crane at the construction site of a tall skyscraper, the load being lifted has some oscillation while being lifted. This has already been proven and it is visible to those who are willing to remove their blindfolds. Why do you think NASA uses a bimbo to teach you sheep, the propaganda? You’re so dumb that the camera filming the ascent follows the ascend and zooms in just like a handheld but the bimbo would tell you it was a remote control camera. But the technology didn’t exist in 1969

I really appreciate your comment about humans going to Mars because we've destroyed our own planet. Spot on! Even if we figure out how to live on Mars and set up a colony ... what then? Really, how many people could we actually transport to Mars to live? A hundred? A thousand? While human space exploration is romantic to think about, it's just not realistic to think humans will be able to survive anywhere but Earth. And now you have scientists who talk about stars "just 10 light years away." It used to be "10 LIGHT YEARS AWAY!!" Now they want it to sound like it's right around the corner. How about we spend the money to take care of THIS planet? How about we figure out how to NOT destroy it?

Way too funny! I'm surprised that you didn't choke on your own 'BS'. But, your 'titan' example disproves your own statement. I can quite clearly see a flame and what you completely overlook, is that all hypergolic engines start with a cloud of orange smoke -which you can see billowing out behind that titan. If you go look at any of the other hypergolic engine tests, you will see that smoke. There is even footage of the town nearby to engine test facility being evacuated - lots of orange smoke from an oxidant leak. So sorry, you should expect to see flame from the launch. And, while we're at it. If you 'freeze-frame' that lift-off, just after the module clears that mouyntain in the background, you will notice that the ridge line is NOT distorted. If there is a rocket engine operating, the exhaust gas WOULD, by its very nature, distort the view. That ridge line is a clear as a bell. There is no rocket operating. And finall7y, look closely at the framework that remains after the launch. Where are the fuel tanks and the rocket engine? I'm sure they didn't take them back to earth! I don't think you are very good at spotting fake!

Talked to a person who worked on the US X-15 rocket plane program (1959-1968). Speaking of his time with the program, he told me how NASA considered putting the X-15 into orbit, but none of their pilots could fly the re-entry profile on the simulator without burning up. A non pilot member of the program asked if he could try re entry on the simulator, and they let him. He succeeded, and was able to repeat the manuever again and again. Everyone wanted to know how he was able to succeed where others could not. Simple, he said, he watched the temperature guage. If the X-15 got too hot, he pulled up; when it cooled down he let the plane descend. He did this over and over, and showed that winged reentry from orbit was possible. The X-15's glide ratio was about 4 to 1. Constructed of inconel X alloy. An ablative coating was tried on the X-15, but was found to be unsatisfactory, and actually interferred with the plane's natural ability to disapate heat. Joe Engle flew both the X-15 and commanded STS-2, which was Columbia’s second orbital test. He hand-flew the shuttle from orbit to landing, which was the first and only time a winged aerospace vehicle was flown manually from orbit through landing. Thank you for your videos and please keep up the good work.

Manned Mars mission is possible with existing technology. Expensive, and would require considerable long term logistical and financial support. Beyond Mars manned missions are impractical with existing tech. No reason Congress can't fund a manned mission to Mars (and the Moon) AND further unmanned programs to the other destinations in the solar system.

@@jasonkingjtk8462 The beauty of science is that we make observations, models and predictions. So yeah, we do know that there's absolutely no way that propellers could work in space.
